We work across the San Francisco Peninsula, South Bay, East Bay and Marin.

Where we work

Which Bay Area cities do we serve?

Arkland Landscape Construction does Bay Area landscaping across the San Francisco Peninsula, South Bay, East Bay and Marin. We work in 61 cities and communities in three regions: Peninsula & South Bay, East Bay and North Bay (Marin). Steep hillsides, tight city backyards and large lots each get a plan built for that site.

FAQ

Questions about our service areas

Still have a question? Call (650) 302-4483.
Is there a rebate for replacing my lawn in the Bay Area?

Yes, many Bay Area water districts pay rebates for replacing lawn with water-wise landscaping. Programs include Valley Water's Landscape Rebate in Santa Clara County, EBMUD's Lawn Conversion Rebate in the East Bay, Marin Water's Cash for Grass, and BAWSCA's Lawn Be Gone! through participating Peninsula and South Bay water agencies. Amounts and rules change, so check current terms with your water district first.

Can I remove my lawn before applying for a turf replacement rebate?

No: the major Bay Area lawn rebates require approval before you remove any grass. Valley Water, EBMUD and BAWSCA's Lawn Be Gone! all ask you to apply and wait for approval or a Notice to Proceed, and Valley Water won't pay for projects started early. If you're planning a rebate project, apply first, and Arkland will schedule the work after your water district signs off.

Which Bay Area cities does Arkland serve?

Arkland serves 61 cities and communities across the San Francisco Peninsula, South Bay, East Bay and Marin. In the Peninsula & South Bay, that includes Saratoga, Los Gatos, San Jose and Monte Sereno. In the East Bay, that includes Berkeley, Orinda, Lafayette and Moraga. In the North Bay (Marin), that includes Tiburon, Mill Valley, Larkspur and San Rafael. The full list, grouped by region, is on this page.

Do I need a permit for landscaping in my city?

It depends on what you're building and where. Taller retaining walls, decks and some structures can need a permit, and each Bay Area city sets its own rules and review steps, so the same project can be handled differently from one town to the next. Arkland goes over what your project needs in your city during the estimate, so you know what to expect before any work starts.

Do you work in my area if my city isn't listed?

Often, yes: the cities listed are where Arkland works most, not the only places we go. Tell us where your property is when you call or request an estimate, and we'll let you know whether we can take on the project. If it's outside our area, we'll tell you straight, so you can plan your next step without waiting on us.
